• Keeping your yeast within a suitable temperature range is one of the most important factors in making consistently good beer, wine, cider or kombucha. The Hopsbrew Thermostatic Home Brew Heat Belt provides gentle, reliable supplementary warmth around your fermenter, helping to support healthy fermentation when ambient room temperatures are low.

  This 35W, 900mm brewing belt wraps around most common vessels used by home brewers – from 1-gallon demijohns to 23L / 5-gallon fermentation buckets and similar-sized carboys. Once in place, simply wrap it around the vessel and adjust the height or position to apply warmth where it’s most effective.

  Inside the belt are four parallel heating elements embedded in a tough, heat-resistant silicone jacket. This wide silicone band helps spread heat gently over a larger area of the fermenter wall, providing steady, even warmth and helping to reduce the risk of localised hot spots that can sometimes occur with small heat pads or direct-contact heaters.

  The belt features a built-in adjustable thermostat that allows you to increase or reduce heat output to suit your fermentation conditions. Running too cold can slow yeast activity, while excessive heat can negatively affect flavour. By adjusting the thermostat setting and monitoring your fermenter temperature, you can help keep fermentation within a yeast-friendly range.

  To help you monitor temperature, the kit includes a stick-on LCD brewing thermometer. Attach it to the outside of your fermenter for a quick visual reference. The colour-changing display lets you read the approximate temperature at a glance and make manual adjustments to the thermostat setting if needed.
